Advice on landing a SponsorShip deal:
First off, understand that teams who rarely play provide no benefit for a company, to attract interest you must practice often and compete in events. You dont necessarily need to place in these events (though it doesnt hurt), but you must play significantly well to show some potential. Also, when you bear a company's logo - you represent them.

Show some sportsmanship while on and off of the field.

Prove to them you are willing to put out some effort to give back, create a website with pictures and detailed roster information. Be professional when contacting any company, and be prepared to accept their terms instead of suggesting your own.

Also, having a sponsor helps improve your image as a team and makes other companies look twice. Some websites offer sponsorship to teams for doing nothing more than creating a website. The downside to this is that almost always you gain only a small percent discount or something of a similar nature. None the less, having sponsors helps you get new sponsors.
